ROCHELEAU, Reverend Father Daniel Suddenly, on Saturday, November 27, 2010 The Reverend Daniel Anthony Rocheleau passed away with his loving and faithful canine companion Stella by his side. Fr. Dan leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters Karen Lyons of Windsor, Ontario, Elizabeth (Gerard) Nadeau of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Margaret Beauchesne of Waterloo, Ontario, his nieces and nephews, Meagan, Jessica and Ryan Lyons, Marc, Monique and Melissa Nadeau, Ann Louise, Christine, Garet and Katie Beauchesne, great nieces and nephews, Mikaela, Abbey Vigneux, Summer Edwards, David, Laura and Robert Nadeau, Max and Chloe Fowler and Braydon Nadeau. Fr. Dan was predeceased by his brother Michael (1942), his parents; his father Ferdinand (Butch) (1999), his mother Rita (2008) and his brother in law Felix Lyons (2006). Besides his family Fr. Dan leaves behind many dedicated colleagues and wonderful friends. Ordained to the priesthood on May 10, 1975, Fr. Dan served 35 years as a faithful servant of the Lord. He served as an Associate Pastor, Pastor and Hospital Chaplain. In the last few years Fr. Dan found great joy in his ministry to the residents of Mount Hope and the Sisters of St. Joseph. There was no greater champion of the infirmed, the handicapped or the elderly. Visitors will be received at the Residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Winderemere Road, London on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. An evening Prayer Service will be held at 7 o'clock. A Celebration of Fr. Dan's life will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12 noon. Mass will be celebrated by The Most Reverend Bishop Ronald P. Fabbro C.S.B., Bishop of London. Interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Windsor, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Sisters of St. Joseph or to a charity of choice would be appreciated. (John T. Donohue Funeral Home)
