Obituary of Joseph Patrick Lynch

LYNCH, Joseph Patrick Passed away peacefully on September 16, 2010 at Strathroy General Hospital, Joe Lynch in his 87th year. Devoted and much loved husband of Paula Irene (nee Morkin) for over 53 years. Loving father of Eileen Lynch and her husband John Harris, Joseph Peter and his wife Ellen and Dennis Gerard and his wife Kim. Survived by his 6 cherished grandchildren Joe and Brigid Harris, Tom and Sam Lynch and Madeleine and Julien Lynch. Dear brother of Al Lynch and the late James, Anna, Patricia, Michael, Tom and Teresa. Special brother-in-law to Theresa O'Shea, Moyra Trainor and Peggy Brady and the late Thomas Morkin, Kevin Morkin, Nesbitt Morkin and Betty Morkin. Fondly remembered by 45 nieces and nephews, extended family, many friends and past students. Joe served overseas in W.W.II with the 1st Canadian Division and was active in Italy (Ortona), France, Holland and Germany. He was an educator for over 35 years, an active local historian and a longtime amateur radio operator. 'VE3CZU'. Visitors will be received at St. George Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road, Byron on Saturday September 18, 2010 from 9:30 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London Humane Society or the heart and Stroke Foundation.
