Backus, Ronald George At Parkwood Hospital on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 Ronald George Backus age 80 years. Cherished husband of Ruth (Firby) Backus. Beloved father of Brenda Anderson and her husband Norm, Donald and his wife Sharon and Michael and his wife Pauline. Proud grandfather of Jesse Anderson, Megan (Scott) and Jenny Backus and Avery Backus. Brother of Larry Howse and his wife Carol and Brian Howse and his wife Judy. Dear godfather of Marie Aylward of South Carolina. Uncle Ron will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephew and his K9 companion Abby. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday evening, December 15th from 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica on Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock.Cremation to follow. Donations to Parkinson Society Canada would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
