Sister Marie Lalemant Denomey
Sister Marie Lalemant Denomey (Edna) of the community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London died peacefully on February 17, 2009 at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Sister was in her 95th year and 75th year of religious life. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Catherine Denomey of Belle River, many nieces and nephews and the Sisters of her religious community. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph Denomey and Libby Desjarlais formerly of Belle River, her brothers Rev. Ernest O.M.I., Eugene, Armand, Rosaire, Leo, Gerard, Arthur and her sisters Yvonne, Corrine, Lucia, Therese, and Geraldine. Throughout her many years in religious life, Sister lived in various convents in London diocese working with both youth and the aged. During the fifties and sixties she assisted in administration at the House of Providence in London. She loved arts and crafts and gave of her talent in that department at Marian Villa in London for 26 years. in her senior years, Sister visited at nursing homes in Windsor and ministered to elderly Sisters at Mount St. Joseph in London. All services for Sister will be held at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Road, London. Visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday February 19th, 2009. Wake service Thursday evening February 19th at 7 o'clock. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday morning February 20, 2009 at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. (John T.
