Obituary of Catherine Healey

HEALEY, Mary Catherine Catherine's sudden death at Extendicare Southwood Lakes, Windsor on January 10, 2009, has greatly saddened her family. She is survived by her loving sister Eileen Mountain (the late John) of St. Mary's, her brother Dr. Basil Healey (Helen) of Waterloo and her sister-in-law Patricia Healey of London. She was the eldest child of her parents the late Basil Healey Sr. and Kathleen Gleeson Healey. Predeceased by her brother Gleeson Healey. Catherine was an honours graduate in English and French from the University of Western Ontario and earned her Masters degree in English from the University of Michigan. She taught for many years in the Windsor Secondary School system and, upon retirement, was for sometime a volunteer at the Art Gallery of Windsor. At her request, she has been cremated and burial has taken place at St. Peter's Cemetery in London. A memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, Dufferin Ave. and Richmond St., London on Thursday morning January 22, 2009 at 11 am.
