GIOIOSA Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 Donato Gioiosa age 76 years. Loving husband of Lucia (Calice) Gioiosa. Cherished father of Rosanna Martensson and her husband Peter, Dan Gioiosa and Peter Gioiosa. Predeceased by his daughter Mary Lou Hanson. Father-in law of Bob Hanson. Proud Nonno of Robert and Jordan Hanson and Nicole Martensson. Predeceased by his parents Vito and Maria Gioiosa. Dear brother of Rocco (Elvira), Antonio (Cristina), Mike (Lina) and Lena Basacco (Antonio). Sadly missed by his extended family in Canada, the United States and in Italy. Fondly remembered by friends in the community and the neighbourhood. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street at York Street on Monday morning Augst 25 at 11 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock. In lieu of flowers donations to the Multi-Organ Transplant Unit c/o London Health Sciences Foundation or the St. Mary's Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
