Obituary of Michael Edward Daly

Daly Peacefully, after a year long battle with lung disease, surrounded by his wife, son and daughter at LHSC Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, Michael Edward Daly, in his 79th year, retired employee of GM Diesel. Beloved husband and best friend for 55 years of Stella (nee Burak) Daly. Loving father of Michael Patrick (Jodi) Daly of Bermuda, and Theresa (Andrew) Fischer of Waterloo. Dear grandfather of Lauren, Mikey and Andrew Daly, Carly and Emily Fischer. Survived by his sister Mary (Leon) Lucas of London, Joan (Henry) Arie of Montreal and Patricia (the late Jim) King of Strathroy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, July 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Memorial Mass at St. George's Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on Saturday morning, July 26th at 10 o'clock. Interment immediately following in St. Peter's Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Sanjay Mehta, the respiratory team and D5-2 nurses and staff at Victoria Hospital, as well as Dr. Jim Lewis and Dr. David Barr.
