Obituary of Carmela Vecchio

VECCHIO at LHSC Victoria Hospital on June 27, 2008, Carmela Vecchio passed away after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 48. Beloved wife of Michael. Cherished and devoted mother of Maria and Brad McNeil; and Michael David Vecchio. Loving daughter of Fortunato and Anna Ielapi. Dear sister of Barbara and Frank Ferrari; Dominic and Anne Marie; Immaculata and Peter Zarola; Vince and Elisa; and Frank and Mary. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Daughter-in-law to Frank and Leonella Vecchio. Remembered by her sisters-in-law Franca and Tony Vecchio, Norina and Angelo Vecchio; and brother-in-law Albert and Alex Vecchio. Dearly loved and greatly missed by all her family and friends. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 345 Lyle Street at York Street on Monday morning June 30, 2008 at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday evening at 8:00 o'clock. Donations may be made to the either the London Regional Cancer Program or St. Mary's Church Restoration Fund.
