Sister Mary Louise McSherry
Sister Mary Louis McSherry (Mary Louise) at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph on Tuesday April 8, 2008 Sister Mary Louis of the Community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London in her 98th year and 77th year of religious life. Lovingly remembered by her sister Anne McSherry of Ingersoll and her brother Joseph of Tillsonburg, nieces, nephews, special friend Kay Brown and the Sisters of her religious community. Predeceased by her parents Louis McSherry and Mary (Burns), brothers George, Louis, Peter, Philip, and her sister, Sister Mary Catherine CSJ. Sister ministered for 38 years as an educator in a variety of places in Southwestern Ontario. During her long retirement, she spent 22 years providing religious instruction and assisting in parishes in Tillsonburg, Kinkora, St. Marys and Seaforth. Sister had a special love and devotion for teaching English to new Canadians and gave countless hours to conversation and support of them as they adapted to their new culture. She will be remembered for her warmth and interest in others throughout her life. All services for Sister will be held at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Road, London. Visitation from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Vigil service on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. (John T. Donohue Funeral Home 519-434-2708)
