Obituary of Mary Margaret Skidmore

Skidmore Mary Margaret Skidmore, our Mame, age 89 passed away peacefully at University Hospital early on Sunday morning January 20, 2008, Daughter of the late David and Celina Skidmore. Predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Leo, her sister Rita Singleton and her husband Dick, her nephews David, Ward and Joseph Skidmore. Survived by her sister Joan Skidmore, sister-in-law Kathryn Skidmore, nieces Martha and Mae Skidmore, Mary Celina Harmsworth and special great nephew Duncan Harmsworth. Mary will be remembered as a long-time downtown merchant, who with her sister Joan had the Mary Skidmore Shop almost 50 years. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock and on Wednesday morning from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated as Mary was a long-time dialysis patient.
