Obituary of Elvira De Jesus Albuquerque

Albuquerque, Elvira Elvira Albuquerque passed away peacefully at LHSC - University Hospital, on November 29, 2007, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Loureiro Amaral (2002). Cherished mother of Fernanda Figueiredo (Alberto) and Arlete Abrantes (Antonio). Grandmother to Paula Pereira, Phil Abrantes (Rosell), Anabela Ferreira (Norberto), and Sandy Del Vasto (Frank). Also "Bibo" (Great-Grandmother) to Nadia, Jasmina, Sophia, Liam, Roque and Owen. Elvira was born in Espinho, Portugal and lived most of her life there with her beloved late husband. Following his death she moved to London, Ontario to be close to her daughters and her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, with prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish, 10 Elm Street, on Saturday, December 1st, 2007 at 12:00 pm Interment to be scheduled in Portugal to join her late husband. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elvira's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
