Sister Vincent Bain
Sister Vincent Bain (Mary Teresa Bain) at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph on Friday, October 12, 2007. Sister Vincent Bain of the Community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London in her 99th year and her 75th year of religious life. Lovingly remembered by the Sisters of St. Joseph, her brother Michael and his wife Rita of Castor AB as well as relatives and friends. Sister Vincent is predeceased by her parents Michael Bain and Rose (Kerr) and her brothers Ambrose, Joseph and Patrick. She was known and loved as a home economics teacher in Edmonton: as a mentor to young women boarding at Sacred Heart Convent and St. Joseph's Convent in Edmonton and her forty years of service as regional treasurer for the Sisters of St. Joseph. She will be remembered for her patience, serenity and her warm heartedness. Following a lifetime in Alberta, in 2001 Sister Vincent moved graciously to join her Sisters in London where she was particularly attentive to other Sisters who moved with her from Alberta. She will be remembered as a woman of prayer and deep devotion to Mary and the Eucharist. Visitation at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Road on Saturday, October 13 from 4 - 5 pm and on Sunday, October 14 from 2-4 pm. Vigil service at 7:30 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in St. Joseph Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Road on Monday, October 15 at 10 am. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. (John T.
