Obituary of Marlene Santin

Santin Peacefully surrounded by her family at London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital on Friday, November 29, 2013, Marlene Santin at the age of 70. Beloved wife and best friend of Angelo Santin. Loving mother of Vincenza Di Cesare and her husband Remo, Mirella O'Neil and her husband Michael and Daniel Carraro and his wife Deborah. Dear stepmother of Stephen Santin and his wife Marilyn, Jeffrey Santin and his wife Otilia and Andrea Evans and her husband Dale. Cherished Nonna of Vanessa (Massimo), Rosalyn, Sofia, Dante and Step-Grandma of Sabrina, Alysha and Michael. Dear sister of Constantino Giannandrea of Italy and Uliana Biancardi of London. Marlene spent over 40 years volunteering her time to various organizations in the Italian community including St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (President of the Catholic Women's Association), Abruzzi Molise and The London Marconi Club where she served as the club's first woman president for the 2012 term. She has touched the hearts of many with all her volunteer services, kind gestures and commitment to keeping the Italian community thriving. Marlene will be fondly remembered by her many, many friends. A heartfelt thank you to all the nurses and staff on the 6th floor at L.H.S.C. for their care and compassion. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Monday from 2-5 and 6-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
