Suddenly of a heart attack at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007 The Honourable Justice John F. (Jack) McCart. Beloved husband of 53 years of Janet (nee Helliwell) McCart. Loving father of Paul, Steve and his wife Deb, John, Bill and Susan. Predeceased by his son Greg McCart (1979). Much loved grampa sport of Ben and Meg. Dear brother of Bill McCart and Ann Poulter and her husband Ted. Predeceased by his sister Mary Robb. Jack was a veteran of WWII in the Army and later as a pilot in the Air Force. Graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1951, practiced law in Sarnia until his appointment to the bench in London in 1972, retired from the bench in 1998, and finished his career sitting on the Canadian Pension Appeals Board. Jack (Sport) will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street, London, on Thursdy morning at 10:30 o'clock. Private family interment to take place in Sarnia. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
