Obituary of Michael John Troughton

Troughton Michael J., B.A. (Hons), B.Litt., M.A, Ph.D.,LL.D., Professor of Geography at The University of Western Ontario from 1964 to 2005 ---- Died quietly in hospital on Saturday, March 10th, 2007, after a fierce battle with cancer in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Ulla, adored father of Camila (Mark) and Martin (Kristi), dear brother of Christine and wonderful "Grandfar" to Alexander, Ben, Taya and Quynn; he will be deeply missed by family, friends, neighbours, students and colleagues. Private cremation. The family invites you to a gathering in his honour at Museum London, 421 Ridout Street, London, Ontario Saturday, March 17th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the "Michael Troughton Graduate Bursary Fund" c/o Donna Swanson, Foundation Western, Rm 11, Alumni Hall, UWO, London, Ontario N6A 5B9 (cheques payable to Foundation Western). The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all their friends and family in Canada and abroad for their tremendous love and support.
