Uncle Des was a wonderful, loving man who always thought of others. He will be sadly missed by all those that knew him. My heart goes out to Aunt Rose, Suzanne and Kathleen. My thoughts and prayers go out to them and the entire McCabe family and those many people who were touched by having Des in their lives. May God give you all strength to get through this difficult time.

Dear Rose and family, Des truly touched my life with his sense of humour, his compassion for others and his love for his family. His strong faith too radiated through everything action and word. He was a truly amazing boss when I worked at A&P and my memories of Des will be cherished as I keep you and your family in my prayers. May Des now rest in peace.
