Obituary of Gerard Knoester

Knoester Peacefully on Christmas Day at Marian Villa with his family by his side Gerard Knoester passed away in his 80th year. His death came 5 days after that of his wife of 56 years Johanna Elizabeth Knoester who passed away herself on his birthday, December 20th, 2006. They were devoted to each other and inseparable in life and now in death. They are survived by their three sons Jerry, Ron and Ben Knoester and their wives Joanne, Devon and Margaret. They will be dearly missed by their grandchildren Jennifer, Malorie, Jocelyn, Jessica and Stephanie and their great grandchildren Sydney and Cole who they adored. Their love and dedication to each other was an inspiration to everyone who knew them. They will be sorely missed but we take comfort in knowing that they will always be with each other. We would like to thank the staff at Marian Villa for their compassion during our father's final days and for the love and care they gave both our parents during the time they lived there. For that we are very grateful. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for both with a memorial service to celebrate their lives will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday morning December 29th, 2006 from 11 o'clock until the time of the service at 12 noon. Donations to the Marian Villa Recreation Program in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
