Ingrid was an active member of OPSEU Local 151. During the Stike of 2007, she was our private First Responder. She stayed on watch for hours at a time, letting us know when the bus was on its way to town, giving us the opportunity to welcome the replacement workers when they arrived. Her dedication was key in what will through History be seen as the summer that changed Developmental Services forever in Ontario. We all owe her thanks for that. Even with physical limitations, she always gave what she could, (as seen in the accompanying picture) remained upbeat, and had a sense of humour that was undeniably special. Will miss you Sister.

Ingrid and I met at St. Martin's school, just 2 little girls in grade one. We've been friends ever since. Growing up, we shared many wonderfull times together, went camping at Ipperwash, swam at Thames park, school dances and all the things friends do. While most kids enjoyed thier summers off, Ingrid spent hers in the hospital. Always keeping up beat, that big smile and warm laugh. I will miss her.

Ingrid & I met at work through CLE. We connected with each other immediately and have been good friends ever since. I will always remember our conversations about life. Ingrid always looked at life, as the glass is half-full all the time. Ingrid is and always will be an inspiration to me.

I knew Ingrid through our work with CLE, she was a very happy person and it was great to work with her. Ingrid loved her mother and her son, Travis very much, she spoke of them often and always with much affection and pride. We will miss Ingrid, she was a person who took what was handed to her in life and made the best of it, she did not feel sorry for herself. I am truly sorry for your loss and ours.
