With dignity and courage, surrounded by love Ada (Stocco) Biscaro passed away on Sunday, May 7th, 2006 in her 78th year. Ada's life began on May 14, 1928, in Castello Di Godego, Treviso, Italy, the 2nd of 4 daughters of the late Amelia and Placido Stocco. She immigrated to Canada in May 1949, where she met and married her husband Fortunato Biscaro in Sudbury Ontario. Together they loved, cherished and guided their four children, Luisa [Joseph] Casciano of Kincardine, Loretta [Larry] Smith of Thorndale, Gina [Edward] Johnson of West Palm Beach Florida, and Bruno Biscaro of Windsor. She will be sadly missed by them and by her grandchildren, Christina, Taylor and Rina; Shawna, Nicole and Matthew; Deanna and husband Jeff, Noah her newborn great grandchild; Shannon, Nicholas and Lauren.
Ada is survived by her sisters Rina Stocco (Tonello) of Castello Di Godego, Treviso, Italy; Mary Giacometti of Niagara Falls, NY and Clara [Ferruccio] Dona of London, her sister-in-law Carmella Biscaro of Paese, Treviso, Italy and nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States, Italy, and France. An avid gardener, cook and bowler, she also enjoyed her time spent with her many friends, including those in the Marconi Club Women's Auxiliary. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Mary Immaculate Church 1980 Trafalgar Street, on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Candian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
