Obituary of Ferdinand Basic

Basic Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital on Thursday March 16, 2006, Ferdo (Fred) Basic passed away in his 64th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Sharon Basic for 31 years. Survived by his son Fred Basic and by his daughter Kathy Basic both of London. Grandfather of C'regg Basic. Dear brother of Blaga Cutura and Mira Basic of Yugoslavia, Dana Grbavac of Washington, USA. Ferdo will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Leopold Mandic Church, 2889 Westminster Drive, on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
