Obituary of Vittorio Francis Capitano

Capitano Peacefully at home in his 82nd year with his beloved wife, Catherine (nee Guilfoyle) of 57 years, by his side Vittorio Capitano passed away on Sunday, February 13th, 2005. Devoted husband and father of Vittorio (Denise), Catherine (Doug) Quick, Bernie (Rowena), Philip (Debbie), Rita (Les) Rose, Patricia Andrew, Theresa (Tim Aspden), John (Cathy), Don (Shelly) and Susan (Scott) Fletcher. Dear brother of Tony (Dorothy) Capitano and brother in law of Betty Capitano, Michael (Irene) Guilfoyle, Mary Dawkins, Margaret (Jack) Magula. Predeceased by his brothers Joseph (1973), Frank (1996), Gus (1998), Vittorio (1922) and his sisters Mary Loree (1998), Theresa Adams (1999), Helen Marshall (2002) and Amelia Capitano (2003) and his brothers in law John Guilfoyle (1992) and William Guilfoyle (1993). He will be sadly missed by his 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Tuesday evening at 7:45 o'clock. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
