Evelyn Marie (Miles) died at McCormick Home, on Monday, November 8, 2004. She was born on April 1, 1916 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Joseph Miles (Scordamaglia) and Mary Parisi. The family moved to London in 1922, where she attended primary school, winning the Bishop Fallon Scholarship in 1929. She graduated from St. Angela College and after attending Brescia College, taught in Catholic Schools in London, Wallaceburg and Parkhill. She married Ronald J. Turner in 1939, who predeceased her in 1995. Evelyn was the mother of seven children: Gerald, of Surray, B.C, Ronald and Thomas of London, Patrick and Patricia, deceased, Father William of Chelsea, Michigan and John (Lynda) of Missisauga. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph, and her sisters: Sant (Beltz), Elizabeth (Beeston), and Sr. Marie Miles, CSJ. Her sister Rita (Linck), of London and her brother Father John Miles, CR of Louisville, KY survive. Visitation will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated a
t St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue with her son Rev. Dr. William J. Turner and her brother Rev. John Miles presiding on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will follow at St Peters' Cemetery. Prayers Monday evening at 8 o'clock. Memorial offerings may be made to the London St. Vincent de Paul Society or to St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
