Allen C. (Bill) Murray left this world with dignity and grace on Sunday, November 7, 2004 with his loving companion Therese Halpin and daughter Cindy Smyk at his side. Since coming to London to be with Therese Bill made many friends and made an impression on all those who came to know him. He leaves to remember him in Thunder Bay his son Craige Murray, daughter Cindy (Dale) Smyk, grandchildren Jill, Pam, Tessa and Todd Murray, Melissa and Luke Smyk and great grandchildren Jordyn and Kaden Murray. Stepbrother Tom (Kay) Dixon and stepsister Agnes Cowling. He was predeceased by his wife of 491/2 years Irene in 2000, his stepbrothers Gus and Bob Dixon and stepsister Olive Thompson. A memorial Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1057 Oxford Street East, on Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Further services and burial will take place in Thunder Bay. A heartfelt thank you goes to special friends Michael Halpin and Gene Collier for all their help over the years, Dr. Tam and the VON staff who cared for Bill at home. Also Dr. Swift and all the nurses and caregivers of the Palliative Care Unit at L.H.S.C. Westminster Campus for their compassionate and loving care given Bill and us in the final days of his life. Lastly John T. Donohue Funeral Home for their advice and arrangements for Bill's services. We ask that all of you not mourn his death but celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
