Obituary of Roy Gross

Please insert RCAF Logo under the Photograph GROSS C.D., Roy John - suddenly on Thursday December 1, 2011 at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Anna Dorothy (nee Birmingham) and loving father of Mary Anne, Irene, and Carol (Rev.). Dear grandfather of Dan (Merinda), Doanld (Tara), Russell (Marika), Christopher (Carolyn), and Brigitte (Sylvain). Dear great grandfather of Cody, Anthony, Justin, Trinity, Nathaniel, Nakita, Jamieson, Cameron, Zadok Roy, and Julien, and great great grandfather of Miley. Dear brother of Dorothy and the late Evelyn, louis, Vera, Ken and Walter. He was a career airman with the RCAF, and after his wartime service experienced a tour of duty in North Bay, 1F Wing in Marville, France and Uplands in Ottawa. He was a golfing, fishing and camping enthusiast. A pet lover, he loved all dogs (and they him) and sorely missed Benny. His greatest love was his wife and he always thought he would get well enough to go back home and 'take care of her'. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Sunday from 2-4 o'clock. Legion Service at 4 o'clock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Justin's Church, 855 Jalna Boulevard on Monday afternoon December 5, 2011 at 1:30 o'clock. Reception to follow. Interment after cremation in St. Mary's Cemetery in Woodstock. No flowers please. In memory of Roy, please consider donations to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal so that kids can have a Christmas.
