Obituary of Giuseppe Allevato

Allevato Peacefully surrounded by his family at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Sunday, December 31, 2006 Giuseppe (Joe) Allevato in his 91st year. Loving husand of 54 years of Luigina (Gina) (nee Sisca) Allevato. Proud father of Eugene (Jim) Allevato and his wife Sandra of Burlington, Maria (Luisa) Allevato and her husband Dave of Toronto, and Susanna (Susy) Girardin and her husband Larry of London. Cherished nonno of Aleyea, Joseph, Larah, Patrice, Alexander and Aubree and great nonno of Taliah. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Marietta Allevato, his brothers Salvatore (Sam), Antonio (Tony) and Eugenio (Jimmy) and their spouses and his sisters Teresina and Adelina and their spouses. As an uncle he will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Thank you to the nurses and staff at University Hospital 6th floor and Father Greg Blonde. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Peter's Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
