Obituary of Domenico Soave

SOAVE, Domenico September 6, 1924 - May 26, 2013 Domenico Soave born in Valleluce, Italy on September 6, 1924 died peacefully at Victoria Hospital in his 88th year on Sunday May 26th. Beloved husband of Assunta Giacomina Soave, Father of Filippo Antonio Soave and the late Philip Soave (2003). Grandfather of Candice Lee Soave. He will be dearly missed and remembered by his nieces and nephews and by his brothers and sisters in law who he helped to make a new and better life in Canada. Predeceased by his sisters Giovanna, Maria, Letizia and Archangela. A distinguished Italian veteran, a hero to us, an example of selflessness, strength, and pride. He survived against all odds and made the world a better place with his pioneering spirit and love of life and family. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street at York Street on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2013 at 11 o'clock. Entombment Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery.
