Peacefully with family at his side at St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, London, on November 12, 2002 Charles Bernard Glaab, in his 83rd year. Devoted husband of 56 years to Beatrice (Dane). Loving father of Cheryl Glaab, Donna and Rudy Pflanzner, Sister Susan Glaab, C.S.J., Teresa and Michael McCoy. Cherished grandfather of Sarah Glaab, William and Emily McCoy, and Carolyn Sheculski (Pflanzner). Dear friend to Lois Branch. Predeceased by his sister Theresa (Knisley) and brother James. Survived by brother Stanley and his wife Frances, sister in law Edna Glaab, brother in law Ken Knisley and several nieces and nephews. Born in Woodstock, Ontario on January 20, 1920 to the late Theresa (Toohey) and the late James Glaab. Proud World War II veteran, serving in the Elgin Regiment. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday November 14, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Fallons Lane at Huron Street, London, on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, 806 Victoria Street. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciated donations to the War Amps. A Legion service under the auspices of the Victory Legion will be held on Thursday evening at 7 o'clock. Prayers Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the Sisters of St. Joseph who have been a source of strength and support.
