Obituary of Leopold Quintus

Quintus, Leopold (Poldi) Leopold (Poldi) Quintus, age 79 passed away Monday November 4, 2002 at L.H.S.C. University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Josef adn Kathariena Quintus. Devoted husband of Elisabeth. Dear father of Kathy and Dan Gallagher of Windsor, Christian at home, Rosemarie and Clyde Walton, George and Maggie Quintus, Elizabeth and David Balch. Cherished "Opa" of Morgan and Katie Gallagher, Sarah and Gennie Walton, Jason and Robbie Gignac. Survived by his brother Adam (Germany). Predeceased by his brothers Josef, Jacob and Anton. Leo was a proud member of the German Canadian Club for over 35 years, and also served as treasurer for over 25 years. He was a carpenter trained in Europe and operated Quintus Kitchen and Carpentry until his retirement in 1992. Leo was a special man, talented yet humble and anyone who met him will miss his gentle manner. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Visitation will continue on Friday morning at St. Pius X Church, 777 Valetta Street, London from 9:15 o'clock until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday evening at 7 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Outreach Program or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would appreciated.
