With profound sadness, the family announces the passing of David on October 31, 2002 at Parkwood Hospital, Palliative Care Unit in his 73rd year. After a short but courageous battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully with his wife, children and long-time friend Jack Fowler at his side. David was the loving husband of Edith, his wife of almost 50 years, devoted father of Rebecca McIntosh and D.J. and his wife Diane. Cherished grandfather "Bop" of Kathryn, Nicholas, Amy, and Peter McIntosh and Sarah Wiley. Survived by his two brothers Douglas and Gordan Wiley, both of Toronto. Predeceased by his brothers John, Arthur (Bud), Alan and his sister Barbara Hebden. David maintained his tremendous sense of humour throughout his illness. Upon David's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home Chapel, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, at 1 p.m. Donations to the VON or the Palliative Care Unit, Parkwood Hospital, London would be appreciated.
