Obituary of Guglielmo Di Ponio

DI PONIO, Guglielmo (Bill) Passed away suddenly at his residence in London, on Tuesday, May 21st, 2013 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Anna (Cervoni) Di Ponio for 38 years. Loving and very proud father of Carlos and Amanda Di Ponio, and father-in-law of Allan Bingham. Dear son-in-law of John and Lucia Cervoni. Predeceased by his mother, Giovanna Cuozzo, his father, Carlo Di Ponio, and his brother, Arcangelo Di Ponio, and mother-in-law, Enrichetta Cervoni. Survived by his sisters, Antonietta Di Cicco (Italy), and Maria Kirk (Scotland). Dear brother-in-law to Michele Di Cicco, Joanne Landowski, Amelia Mellace, Joe Cervoni, Carla Trembley, and their families. Cherished "Uncle Bill" to Evita and Tessa Trembley, and fondly remembered by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy, the United States, Argentina and Scotland. Passed on is a proud, self-made, hard-working man (Unifin 28 years), and exceptional gardener who will be warmly remembered by many for his good nature, passionate pursuits, and his excellent homemade wine. Visitors will be received at JOHN T. DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
