Obituary of Mary Ayers

Ayers, Mary Margaret (Hayes), it is with saddened hearts that the family of Mary Margaret Ayers of London, Ontario announces her passing on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at University Hospital, London. After a long hard fought battle, Mary's passing was peaceful. She was surrounded by the love of her daughters Norah and Kathy and son in law Ben. Mary was born on Sept 27, 1925 in Borris, County Carlow, Ireland. She was the daughter of John and Mary Hayes (Flood). Beloved wife of the late Joe (Harold) Ayers (1988). Precious mother, best friend and mentor to Norah Ayers-Toong (Ben) and Kathleen Ayers. Devoted and loving grandmother to Kevin Toong (Carole) and Katherine Toong. Predeceased by her brothers Patrick, John, Michael and William Hayes and by her sisters Kathleen Hayes, Bridget Hayes, Norah Cole. Mary's daughters would like to especially thank mom's special angel Joanne Lee for her compassionate care and friendship. They would also like to thank her 2 special PSW's Maria and Dianne and RNP Candice Bray who supported and comforted her throughout these last several months. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Cathedral, 196 Dufferin Avenue on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Prayers Friday evening at 7 o'clock. Donations to the London Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mrs. Ayers.
