Obituary of Robert George Leigh

LEIGH Peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2001 at L.H.S.C. University Campus, with family at his side, Robert George Leigh, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Mary ( Pensa ) Leigh. Loving father of David of Blenheim, Candice (Ken) Holmes of St. Thomas, Kaaren ( Ian ) Smyth of London, Judi ( Les ) Sofalvi of London and Kathryn ( Jeff ) Poole of Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Jennifer and Angela Holmes, Adam and Michael Smyth, Nicka nd Marina Sofalvi and Alan and Kimberly Poole. Also survived by his sister Lois Brown, two nieces and one nephew. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Winona Leigh and grandchild Kendra Sofalvi. Mr. Leigh was a fifty-five year member of the Roayl Canadian Legion and a longtime member and Senator of Sunningdale Golf and Country Club. The family will receive relatives and friends at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 o'clock. Cremation and private entombment in Holy Family Mausoluem - St. Peter's Cemetery on Friday, August 3, 2001. A Memorial Mass will be held for friends and family at St. George's Church, 1164 Commissioners Rd., W., on Saturday morning, August 4, 2001 at 10:30 o'clock.
