At Grandwood Park Retirement Residence, Londonon Saturday, August 19, 2000, Dorothy Alice Boone ( nee Payne ) died in her 90th year. The name Dorothy means "A Gift From God"In so many ways she gave us her gift, her loving friendship with all her family, husband Charles ( deceased ), daughter Frances of Toronto, son Tom and his wife Elizabeth of London, son Bob and his wife Dianne of Mississauga and grandchildren Caroline of
Toronto, Cathy and Wayne McMullin of Collingwood, Michael and Erika of Toronto, Stephen and Dina of London, David and Tammy of Toronto and Greg and Jennifer of Toronto and six beautiful great-grandchildren
Scott, Miranda, Alexandra, Emily, Ryan and Calum. She was the last surviving child of Robert and Catherine Payne and is predeceased by her six sisters Angela McTaggart, Katherine Cotter, Clare Martin, Irene Burke, Marguerite Patterson and Eleanor Cronk and her two brothers William and Daniel
Payne. Dorothy will be sadly missed by all her many, many friends. A special thanks to Sister Ann for her special support. Dorothy was a registered nurse and a true caregiver to all who knew her. Dorothy was extremely loving and totally accepting of others and of life. May our mother rest in the arms of Jesus knowing that she was dearly loved by everyone of her family and all who knew her. Visitors will be
received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 o'clock.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 89 Charles Street, London on Tuesday
morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Monday evening at
7:30 o'clock. In her memory, donations can be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or to a
charity of your choice.
