Obituary of William Edward Dutton

On March 9th, 2006, in his 87th year, William Edward "Ed" Dutton, VE3EWO, died peacefully and with dignity, surrounded by his family, ending his lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Predeceased in 2003, by Helen, his loving wife of 59 years. Cherished only son of the late Agnes and Fred Dutton. Much loved father of Judy Lynn (Chris) Clackett of Oakville, Michael (Eileen) of London, Rob (Linda) of Elora, Janis (Tom) Rulon of Mission, B.C., Nancy (Wayne) Lasher of Oakville, Jackie (Gerry) Heffernan of London. Proud Grandfather, "Pa" of Robert (Daina), Andrew (1983) and Amy Clackett, Andrea, Nicole and Sean Dutton, Sara and Emily Dutton, Chelsea and Calais Rulon, Jeff, Stephanie and Lauren Lasher, Brendan, Matt and Nick Heffernan. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ken & Shirley Hayward, Bob, Audrey and Joan Hanbidge, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John T Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo at King, London on Sunday March 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday, March 13th at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioner Rd. W, London. Interment, St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. Prayers Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society and Parkwood Hospital Foundation. The family wish to acknowledge the kindness, care and compassion given to our father by the staffs at 2 Perth, 5B South and 5B West at Parkwood Hospital, where he was a resident and lovingly cared for over the past three years. Thank you to Dr. Bill McKeough, Dr. Michael Borrie and Dr. Bill Payne for their care and guidance during Dad's illness.
