Obituary of Janet Elinor Schwob

Schwob (Rourke) Janet, At Kensington Village Nursing Home, on January, 18, 2013, Janet (Rourke) Schwob R.N. Dear wife of the late David Schwob. Loving mother of D. J. Schwob and his wife Tina and Elinor Schwob. Proud granJan of Aidan and Rylan. Favourite sister of the late J. Terence Rourke , Patrick W. Rourke of Montreal, Brian C. Rourke of Charleston, S. C., A. John Rourke of Toronto, and the late M. Charles Rourke of Winnipeg. Sister in law of Carol, Alanna, Evelyn, Dianne and Mary Lou. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. With over 40 yrs of compassionate care as a registered nurse Janet's career spanned from nursing homes to the team nurse for the CFL's Montreal Alouettes and the NHL's Montreal Canadiens until retirement from Parkwood Hospital caring for Canada's veterans. She will be missed and remembered by many long time friends and nursing colleagues. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday, January 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Wednesday morning, January 23rd at 11 o'clock. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. Donations to the "Janet Rourke Schwob RN Compassion Award" c/o Fanshawe College Foundation would be appreciated.
