I will always have fond memories of Joe. He was always smiling and happy.
Joe and I always got along well, probably because we shared the same heritage; me being a first generation Canadian (with Italian parents) and Joe being from Italy.
One day we were at a job site meeting at the addition to Argyle Arena; Joe was the General Contractor and I was the structural engineer. After the meeting Joe and I were talking and he said he was going to bring me some of "your cookies, you know the cookies shaped like a "S"". I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Two weeks later; after the next job meeting, Joe pulls out two packs of cookies shaped like a "S". Those were the same cookies that my parents bought when we were kids. A small gesture on Joe's part but something I would never forget.
You are are true gentleman Joe and I am saddened to hear you have moved on to the "next project". Peace to you and your family.
Ciao,
Rick
