Obituary of Kenneth Baird Anderson

Anderson, Kenneth Baird It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather on November 3rd, 2012 in his 88th year, after a lengthy decline due to Alzheimers Disease. Ken was the beloved husband of Marion (nee Dudley), cherished father of Ross (Kate) and Cathy, and much loved and devoted grandfather of Chris, Justine, Elise, Matt, Scott and Josh. He is survived by his sister Beth, and was pre-deceased by Erna, Kay (Andy) and Lisle. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by many dear friends. Ken was an avid woodworker who used his talents to build and furnish a wonderful log home that has been enjoyed by his family and friends over many years. It will serve as gathering place for those who love him for years to come. He was a great supporter of the Ottawa 67s as a season ticket holder for 32 years. Ken and Marion owned and operated Joynt's Pharmacy in Ottawa's West End for many years. Visitors will be received at Tubman Funeral Home (Westboro), 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa, on Saturday, November 10th from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service celebrating Ken's life. Interment of his ashes will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery immediately following the service. If desired, donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
