Met Tony at the YMCA. Tony did not speak very much to fellow Y members. Eventually he and I hit it off as we both played the equities market on our own with no broker. From then on Tony became a friend and he even became a bit of a motor mouth. We spent a lot of time chating about stocks, his life's work and my work. I did some professional work for him. Like Tony I am Dutch. When the Dutch Consulate asked me to raise money for the 65th liberation of Holland celebration, Tony opened his wallet. Tony will be missed, he was a very quite but happy person, always positive.

We were all sitting around at brother Pete's house this past Easter and to everyone's surprise Tony and Mary popped in. Tony wasn't well but with a little nudge from Mary they were able to come and bonk some eggs with the rest of us. Tony was never the biggest conversationalist but he usually had a smile on his face and liked listening to all the chatter from others. We'll miss your smile and gentle spirit. Rest in peace.
