Simmers With loving thoughts of Harold Allen Simmers who passed away on March 12, 2004 after embracing life for 76 years. He was born on February 22, 1928 in Huntsville, Ontario. Deeply loved husband of Phyllis (Couture) for 55 years who was by his side when he found peacefulness. Much loved father of Bryan and his wife Rosemarie of London, Bill of St. Mary's, Barrie, Terry, Kevin and his wife Maria, all of London, Karen and her husband Don Vanhevel of Bornholm. Loving and proud grandpa of Keelan, Sean, Mike and his wife Chrissy, Chad, Stephanie, Jordan, Kylara, Shane, Brandon, Cory and Troy. Great grandpa of Makayla and Roland. Those who knew him admired dad's courage, strength and passion for life while living with heart and lung disease and recently cancer. Friends will be received at the John T. Donohue FuneralHome, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. A celebration Mass of Harold's life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, London on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Prayers Sunday evening at 7 o'clock. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Lung Association, The Canadian Cancer society or Parkwood Palliative Care unit would be appreciated.
