Obituary of David Gowans

After a short battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on November 4, 2011 at Victoria Hospital, London,Ontario. David was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on October 4, 1930, a true Scot. Beloved husband of Ruby. Cherished father of Gerrard (Maureen) Gowans. Beloved grandad of James and Thomas all of Jersey, Channel Islands. Dear stepfather to Christopher D'Souza (Margot) of Phoenix, Az, Tim D'Souza (Ellen) of London, On, Stephen D'Souza (Lynn) of Toronto, On, Melanie Malaquias (Eliseau) of Keswick, On. Loving grandpa and poppa to Daniella, Sarah, Jane Anne, Tyler, Colin and Ruby. Dear brother of Kathleen Mien (Jack), Margaret Conroy and Anne Cunningham (Mabon).Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London on Sunday, November 6 from 7-9o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, Dufferin Avenue at Richmond Street, London on Monday, November 7 at 10 o'clock. Private family interment in Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga, Ontario. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated.
