Obituary of Lucia Cavaliere

Lucia (nee Valerio) Cavaliere passed away peacefully on Oct. 6, 2024, in her 95th year, surrounded by her devoted, caring family at her home in London, Ontario. Lucia was predeceased by her beloved, treasured-in-her-heart husband Erman. Loving and cherished mother of Joseph (Pam), John (Doris) and Teresa (Rob). Incredibly proud and loving nonna of Nicholas (Angela), Katrina (Abdul), Jason and Jakob and bisnonna to Sophia, Miller, Cali, Rowe, Malik and Zaynedeen. Beloved daughter of the late Giovanni and Lucrezia (Francini) Valerio. Dear sister of Giuseppe, Santina, Immacolata, Carmela and Maria. Predeceased by her brothers Francesco, Gaetano, Tonino and Cosimo and sister Rosaria. Dear sister-in-law to the Cavaliere family. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and many friends.

Lucia will be remembered for her strength and resolve, her dedication and unwavering love for her family, and her devotion to her faith and God. She will also be remembered by many for her love to feed people, it didn’t matter if she knew you or not, if you knew someone in the family, then that’s all she needed to make sure you were well fed. We will Always Love You and you will be forever in our hearts.

Visitors will be received at the JOHN T. DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Thursday, October 10 from 5pm – 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Friday morning, October 11 at 11am. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.  Celebration of Life Reception, 1:30pm to 4:00pm at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre, Garden Room, 551 Windermere (Drive around to back of complex), London, ph # 519 675-5539
