Dear Rita and family, I am saddened to hear of he passing of your dad. My sincere condolences. It is hard to find words for this loss.
So I will share a story with you. When my mom died I went to see my neighbour and said that it is too early . He said something that has stayed with me. He answered that is always too early. If I had a another morning, day, week, year or more I would always want more. He said we can never fully know someone as we are all mysterious and it hard to know even ourselves. His words were comforting t me.
I find when I am unable to find y words to express my condolences I look to words even written thousands of years ago that still have a relevance to day. Here are words that to say the unsayable....
Good byes are only for those who love with their eyes. For those that love with all their heart and soul there is no such thing as separation. Rumi.
Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth you owe me. Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky. HAfiz.
I beg you to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked into rooms and books written in a foreign language.
Don't search for the answers which could not be given to you know because you will not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now and perhaps then someday in the future, you will gradually without knowing it, live your way to the answer. Rainer Maria Rilke

We are forever grateful to have John in our lives as a wonderful friend and neighbour.Many hours were spent outside in conversation,taking a break from weeding and raking.He will be missed.

Sending you all my condolences. Mr Del Ben, as he will always be known to me since Gr 1, will be remembered as being kind hearted and having a quiet strength. When I was over one night for dinner, as I often was, your dad sent me home with a bottle of red wine for the family. As I was too young to drink it, I found a delectable alternative to drizzling it on my ice cream. Your basement held wonderful aromas of wine making, curing ham, and cheese. I am grateful for being invited to the home your mom and dad created. Xo
