Obituary of Terry Brewster
Therese (Terry) Rosary-Ann Brewster (nee) Bryce
At her home on July 10, 2024. Terry was in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Brewster (June 1,2024) for 70 years.
Survived by her children Michael (Susan), Tim (Ray), David, Maureen (Dean), Chris (Elizabeth), her 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Paul (2019) and her sisters Mary & Anne. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude (nee Durkin) Bryce.
Terry was a longtime Parishioner of St. Martin of Tours and a member of St Martin of Tours Catholic Women’s League. In her younger years, Terry was quite involved in visiting and helping organize card games for seniors and helping at dances for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Terry was an amateur genealogist and spent several years researching her family history back to Ireland in the late 1700’s.
Terry was the organizer, and for many years she made plans for the family to travel to Florida. Upon retirement, Terry and Doug enjoyed several winters in Venice, Florida. They had fond memories of the beach, warm weather and their snowbird friends.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, July 12 from 2-4 o'clock with prayers at 3 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours, 46 Cathcart Street, on Saturday, July 13 at 11 o'clock. Private interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Martin of Tours CWL, St Joseph's Hospice, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
