Obituary of Mike Worrall
Michael Joseph Worrall passed away peacefully in his 78th year of life on Sunday, April 28, 2024 surrounded by his family at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Mike was a loving husband to Kathleen (Taylor) Worrall for 55 years, and treasured father to daughter Carrie (Worrall) Nash and son Sean (Denise Michalczuk) Worrall. He was a proud ‘Papa’ to Mackenzie Michalczuk and Kate Nash. He will be missed by his surviving siblings Joanne (Worrall) Phillipson, and Richard Worrall as well as his brothers and sisters-in-laws, their spouses and their children: Mary (Rutledge) Worrall, Michael (Helen) Taylor, Ted (Bonnie) Taylor, Jerry (Joyce) Taylor, Mary (Barrie) Godbout, Annie (Dennis) Shearme, Carol (Brian) Curran, Jeannie (Darcy) Larivee, Theresa (Paul) Lemke, and Cecilia (Jerry) Pickering. He now joins his brother Jerry Worrall, brother-in-law Brian Phillipson and his parents Betty (Haslam) and Jack Worrall as well as his mother and father-in-law Ted and Elva (Overholt) Taylor.
Mike was a loving soul with a strong commitment to family and many, many friends. He worked for London Life for 40 years. He was a pillar of the community serving as a volunteer with the Knights of Columbus and St Vincent de Paul for decades. He was as enthusiastic about the Blue Jays as he was about the Rolling Stones. He brought the perfect balance of levity and sincerity to all aspects of his life. He will be remembered fondly.
