HILTON, Joyce Gloria

After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer Joyce Gloria Hilton peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 21st in her 80th year.

Joyce had a passion for reading and spent hours at the downtown library fulfilling her love of history. One of her favourite historic sleuthing topics was that of her own family who arrived to London, from Ireland, over 170 years ago. A member of the CWL (Catholic Women's League), Joyce found great joy in volunteering her time and the wonderful friendships that she made. 

Loving mother of Sherry Hilton (Thomas), Lori Hilton Brizius and Stephen Hilton (Emily). 

Dearly missed by her grandchildren: Jeremy Masterson, Caitlin Hilton (Shelby), Seth O'Morrow (Charity), Jack Johnson (Amy), Logan Johnson, Alex Smith, Kaleb Smith and Shayna Wayne (Trent) along with her great-grandchildren Tristan, Ronni, Ramsey and Rory.

Predeceased by her father Kenneth James Reidy, her mother Charlotte Blanche Reidy, brother Kenneth Joseph Reidy and her beloved infant son Christopher John Hilton.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, London on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:00am. Inurnment at St. Peter's Cemetery followed by a wake at Victory Branch Legion, 311 Oakland Avenue, London.

The family would like to thank the compassionate care that Joyce received from Doctor Logan (Cancer Clinic - Victoria Campus) along with her dynamic palliative care team.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joyce Hilton can be made to Our Sisters Place or Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
