Obituary of Edna Alice Plouffe

Edna Alice Plouffe, born October 23rd, 1931, peacefully passed away surrounded by family in her home at Chelsey Park, London, Ontario April 5, 2024 at the age of 92.  She was the beloved wife of Laurier “Larry” Plouffe (died 2003) for 52 years. She was the loving mother of Tom and his wife Nellie, John and his wife Laura, Dan and his wife Michelle, Jim, Mary and her husband Doug. Her doting and loving grandchildren, John, Larry, Jamie, Michael, Tara, Matt, David, Michael, Lisa, Katie, Jeff, Ashley, Devon, Jesse, Hudson and Sydney, her grandchildren-in-law, Deanna, Caylee, Rachel, Aimee, Roy, Brianna, Steve, Dan, her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Charlee, Heidi, Sienna, Roman, Ryan, Cameron and Mila and her many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends will miss her dearly.  She is predeceased by her sister, Geraldine Shearn.

Edna leaves behind a legacy of boundless affection and cherished moments. She showered her family with unconditional love and support and they reciprocated in kind. She was the cherished cornerstone of the family, keeping everyone together with her strength, humour and boundless love. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and spent countless hours with them talking laughing, and playing cards. Her spirit was inspirational and touched countless lives. Everyone wanted to be around her all the time. She will be so deeply missed, but memories with her will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we recall and the moments we hold so dear. She made us all better people and her light will forever glow in our hearts. 

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street and King St., on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 6pm to 9pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 1 Fallons Lane, on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10am. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
