My brother and I send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Katie.
Our parents purchased a house in the early 50's across from the “Winter” house which is where we spent our childhood. Katie and Ida were very private people. Sadly we never got to truly know them. I would have loved to have shared conversations with Katie about poetry or listened to Ida's travel stories. We have many fond memories of seeing Katie in her lovely print dresses and rubber boots tending to her gardens like a mother caring for her children. The property and house were kept so meticulous and pristine.
May Katie rest in eternal peace. In the words of my brother in remembrance of Katie:
“A life lived well; a good and faithful servant to her Lord and His Church”.
Love, Light, Peace
