Surrounded by the warmth of her dearest children and her husband—George Zakharia, Hoda Zakharia peacefully departed on January 11th, 2024, in London, Ontario, at the age of 76—beloved daughter of the late Fadwa and Anis El-Souki of Choueifat, Lebanon.
Hoda leaves behind her loving husband, George Zakharia, and her dearest children - Marlene Zakharia, Abraham Zakharia, David Zakharia, Sonya Zakharia (Joseph Awad), and Daniel Zakharia.
Hoda, a beacon of strength and resilience, embraced life with a contagious spirit. Her legacy as a devoted wife and mother echoes through the joy she brought to her family. A culinary artisan, Hoda's homemade creations delighted all fortunate enough to savor them, a testament to her self-taught culinary skills.
Her magnetic personality drew people close, and her angelic appearance was complemented by her strong sense of humor. Hoda's vibrant energy, despite facing health challenges, reflected her warrior spirit as she tirelessly cared for her loved ones.
A fashion enthusiast, Hoda graced every room with her charming presence. Her sweet smile and heartwarming personality left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Known for sharing not just recipes but life's valuable lessons, Hoda's integrity and respect shaped her children's lives.
Born in Choueifat, Lebanon, to Fadwa and Anis El-Souki, Hoda cherished her roots, carrying the essence of her heritage with grace.

محاطة بدفء أطفالها الأعزاء وزوجها، جورج زخريا، رحلت هدى زخريا بسلام في 11 يناير 2024 في لندن، أونتاريو، عن عمر يناهز الـ76، ابنة الفقيدة فضوى والفقيد أنيس الصوقي من شويفات، لبنان.
تركت هدى وراءها زوجها الحبيب، جورج زخريا، وأطفالها الأعزاء - مارلين زخريا، إبراهيم زخريا، ديفيد زخريا، سونيا زخريا (جوزيف عوض)، ودانيال زخريا.
هدى، رمز للقوة والصمود، استقبلت الحياة بروح معديّة. تتجلى وراثتها كزوجة وأم مخلصة من خلال الفرح الذي جلبته لعائلتها. فنانة في الطهي، أسرت إبداعات هدى المحلية الصنع كل من كان محظوظًا بتذوقها، عربون من مهاراتها الطهو التي تعلمتها بنفسها.
شخصيتها المغناطيسية جذبت الناس إليها، وكانت ظاهرتها الملائكية مكملة بروحها الفكاهية القوية. طاقتها الحية، على الرغم من التحديات الصحية، تعكس روحها المحاربة حيث رعت بلا كلل لأحبائها.
كعاشقة للأزياء، زيّنت هدى كل غرفة بحضورها الساحر. ابتسامتها اللطيفة وشخصيتها الدافئة تركت بصمة لا تنسى على كل من التقت به. معروفة بمشاركة ليس فقط وصفات الطهي ولكن أيضًا دروس الحياة القيمة، شكلت نزاهتها واحترامها حياة أطفالها.
ولدت في شويفات، لبنان، لفضوى وأنيس الصوقي، حافظت هدى على جذورها، حاملة جوهر تراثها بكرامة.
