I have known Gerry for over fifty years. We spent memorable teaching years together at St. Lawrence school, and we continued to share fond memories. He and Marilyn were married the same summer as John and I. As Marilyn and I developed our friendship, I would chat with Gerry who was always ready with a joke. He was a kind and compassionate man. He will be missed.

Sending my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Gerry Casaubon.
Mr. Casaubon was my grade 6 teacher at St. Lawrence school in 1968. I believe he was newly graduated at 24 years old and we were his first assignment. He was so young, cool and did funky die dyed art and let us have fun music and dancing! He was and always has been my favourite teacher .. first male teacher and he set the bar really high.
Fast forward several years later… now I’m 24 years old and assigned to Mr. Casaubon as my associate teacher I believe at St. Judes. We reconnected over several weeks, laughed a lot about the karma and he guided me once again through my teaching career.
A great teacher, a mentor, a truly kind caring man who made a very impactful impression on my life at such a young age. I will always remember his big welcoming smile.
May you rest in peace Mr. Casaubon - you will be missed but never forgotten .

Gerry and I taught together for many years. This picture was taken in 1999 when we taught at the downtown St. Peter’s campus. Gerry made my day every day. His humour and friendly, warm disposition brightened everyone’s day. The students loved him! He was a marvellous French teacher. My deepest condolences to Marilyn, Mark, Sean, and Stephanie, their spouses and children. I will always remember Gerry with fondness and love.

Mickey and I will really miss Gerry's company. I will really miss lunches with Gerry, we had great conversations and he always insisted on providing a montreal smoked meat sandwich with chips and a pickle mandatory. For desert his homemade butter tarts. They where delicious!!
Despite Gerrys bad arm he never shied away from hard physical work, and always volunteered to help me in my labour's.
We always looked forward to having him and Marilyn visit us in Hilton Head.
Rest in peace Gerry.

Dear Marilyn and Andre:
Joe and I travelled from Sarnia for many years to Theatre London where we would meet up with Doris and Phil and often be invited for a glass of sherry afterwords. We would always hear about you and Gerry and your children and Andre too. So we felt as if we knew you well.
Please accept our sincere sympathy.
