Obituary of Norman Francis Bordage
Peacefully, at London Health Science’s Centre - UniversityHospital on October 4, 2023, Norm passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 81. Left to mourn his loss are his beloved wife, partner, soulmate and caregiver, Jacqueline and his two children, Michael (Kelly) and Carrie Lynn (Todd L. Risser), and his two grandchildren, Brandon and Jenny.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on April 5, 1942 to Elzear Bordage and Domine Thibeault, he was brother to Amedee, Maria Huard, Claudette (Larry Brideau) and Pauline Watkinson(Fred). In June 1965, Norman married the love of his life and moved to London with his bride in search of the economic opportunities that Ontario had to offer. He had secured a position as a welder with General Motors, which ultimately became his life-long employer. Norm’s leadership and passion for believing that people were first, secured him a position in quality management.
Norman, a man routed in family and faith, brought a “joie de vivre” to his new community and to all that knew him. There was nothing that he loved more than people, his family and his friends.
The family would like to thank the Critical Care, SAMU and Palliative care team of the Victoria and University Hospitals for their compassionate care.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, or the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated by the family. For online condolences, please visithttaps://donohuefuneralhome.ca.
